Georgia Works is a Self-Sufficiency incentive program.
Our immediate goal is to give low-income families an opportunity to make a transition from the poverty roll to a productive, positive working environment. We offer self-esteem building, professional work ethics, skill development and professionalism. We will use a unique and critical self-reflection and examination approach to achieve personal transformation. The general idea is to encourage the participants to see exactly where they are presently in life and envision where they could be after completion and graduation of Georgia Works. Our intent is to reform Low-Income families (head of household) to become dependable and to learn professional behavior in order to confront the daily workforce, therefore becoming an active member of the working marketplace.
